AC Milan has secured a long-term arrangement with Lille’s 22-goal scoring ace

Everton pushing to complete £30million deal for Chelsea striker Armando Broja

A few months after the initial report,

AC Milan was again stated as having a serious interest in signing Edon Zhegrova from Lille.

Tuttosport revealed year ago that Milan admired Zhegrova,

and their interest in the Kosovo international goes back much longer.

When he was 13 years old and competing in an Italian tournament, Milan’s scouts chose him as the finest player among over 200 boys his age.

He even got to visit San Siro, but owing to bureaucratic complications,

his transfer to the Rossoneri youth sector did not happen.

Milan followed his growth at Standard Liège, then St. Truiden and Genk,

where he served as a backup to Ruslan Malinovskyi.

His name has been linked to Milan again. Sportitalia’s Gianluigi Longari writes on his X profile that the Diavolo,

along with Juventus and Roma, are interested in signing the 24-year-old.

Negotiations are ‘not advanced at the present’, but they ‘may develop in the following weeks’.

Zhegrova’s contract with Lille expires in June 2026,

and he made 47 appearances across all competitions in 2023-24 under the tutelage of Paulo Fonseca  who will be Milan’s next head coach and scored 12 goals and assisted 10 times.
