Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy ‘terminates’ contract as he gets upset over Micah Parsons situation

This week, the Dallas Cowboys are hosting optional organized team activities (OTAs). They join an elite edge rusher in Micah Parsons, one of many dubious contract situations.

Parsons is searching for a new contract this offseason, much like quarterback Dak Prescott and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. After accumulating three seasons of playing time, he is a player eligible for the first time.

It appears that some drama may be developing in Big D right now. On Thursday, seasoned Cowboys source Clarence Hill pointed out that Parsons isn’t at OTAs. On social media, Hill said, “Mike McCarthy doesn’t seem happy about it.”

Whether Parsons can be considered a “hold in” or something else, his contract situation will now likely take center stage moving forward in the offseason. “(Parsons) looks to be in really good shape. But it’s a new defense. We have work to do. We’ll be ready when it’s time,” McCarthy told reporters.
