Manchester United ‘offered’ shock Joao Felix transfer chance….

Atletico Madrid reportedly made Joao Felix an offer to Manchester United as part of their summer transfer window pursuit of Mason Greenwood.

Greenwood, who played on loan for Getafe during the 2023–2024 season, is anticipated to leave United this summer and is attracting interest from teams throughout Europe. Juventus, Napoli, and Borussia Dortmund have all expressed interest, but Atletico Madrid is said to have accelerated its search.

Colchoneros has offered forward Felix as part of a trade agreement to bring Greenwood to the Metropolitano Stadium, according to Spanish news source TDF.

Felix has been away from Atletico for the past 18 months and is anticipated to be sold this summer. Last season, he scored ten goals for Barcelona, and it’s rumored that his agent, Jorge Mendes, is working hard to secure the forward a second season-long loan.

Mendes supposedly had a conversation with United last summer regarding Felix’s potential signing. The Portugal international did, however, manage to win a loan move to Barcelona, a league opponent.

According to the article, Felix is the player that Andrea Berta, the sporting director of Atletico, is allegedly working on trading for in order to sign Greenwood, giving them more hope. As part of Diego Simeone’s revamp, fellow forwards Alvaro Morata and Angel Correa are also listed for transfer.

Felix, who spent a brief time at Chelsea, showed signs of promise and is a versatile forward. But ever since his sensational transfer from Benfica in 2021, he has found it difficult to live up to the hype.

Anthony Martial announced his exit this summer, therefore United has identified a new forward as a priority. Although Rasmus Hojlund is the preferred option, there aren’t many options available outside of the Denmark international.
