Viewpoint: Hey, NHL Club and PWHL Teams in Utah – Pick. A. Name.

Ken Campbell argues that these teams appear to be overanalyzing the situation. Furthermore, they can simply modify the name if they make a mistake. In hockey, it has before occurred.

Teams in the NHL are named after fire, weather patterns, animals, and natural calamities. And they’ve done fairly well with those monikers.

What is causing Utah and the PWHL to take so long to decide on a moniker and make it public? All you need to do is come up with a catchy name and add a’s’ to the end. After all, you can get away with a lot if your team is called the Prancers, like IHL Peoria once was.

The Athletic stated that the PWHL’s team names and logos are presently being developed and will be released when they’re ready.
